There will be no Cambridge Folk Festival in 2025 – it’s been cancelled.

On July 16 Cambridge City Council announced that this year’s festival will not go ahead, due to falling ticket sales, and rising costs, which make the current format unaffordable.  The festival lost money in 2024.  They plan to bring it back in 2026, with a revised format using more venues in central Cambridge, as well as continuing to use Cherry Hinton Hall, with the option of camping.

Many folk-music lovers, and many folk musicians, are very upset at loosing one of the best loved summer festivals.  This would have been it’s 61st year.
